SEAT Ibiza 1.6 Petrol — Technical Data Sheet AUTO-VOLT N°717
Technical data sheet AUTO-VOLT N°717 (November 1995) dedicated to the SEAT Ibiza (from 1993) and SEAT Cordoba (from late 1995) with 1.6-litre petrol engine, 75 hp. 4-cylinder inline transverse, cast iron block, aluminium head, 5-bearing crankshaft, overhead camshaft with hydraulic tappets. Lubrication: gear pump with pressure relief valve; dual oil pressure sensors: brown (0.3 bar idle) and grey (0.9 bar) or black (1.4 bar) at 2,000 rpm; electronic module in instrument cluster checks rpm threshold; oil pressure (hot 80°C): 0.3 bar idle / 2 bar at 2,000 rpm; 3.5 L (0.5 L for filter) SAE 5W50–20W50 API SF/SG. Cooling: belt-driven centrifugal pump; thermostat opens at 84°C, full open at 98°C, stroke 7 mm; bi-speed fan: low speed on 92–97°C, high speed on 99–105°C; expansion tank cap 1.4–1.6 bar; 5.5 L 50% antifreeze (protection to −35°C). Fuel system: Bosch Mono-Motronic single-point injection; injection unit on inlet manifold (integrates throttle position, idle actuator, pressure regulator, air temperature sensor, injector); ECU Bosch 0 261 200 712 (03–06/1993) or 0 261 203 346 (07/1993+); injection unit Bosch 0 438 201 502 or 503; injector resistance 1.2–1.6 ohms; ballast resistor 3–4 ohms; lambda sensor; canister solenoid valve 25–50 ohms. Technical data sheet AUTO-VOLT N°779 (June 2001) dedicated to the SEAT Leon (from October 1999) and Toledo (from April 1999) with 1.9 TDi 90 and 110 hp Diesel engines. Both models share the VAG platform (Golf IV, Bora, Audi A3, Skoda Octavia). Engine: 1,896 cc, 4-cylinder inline vertical transverse (inclined 30° rearward), cast iron block, aluminium head, single overhead camshaft with toothed belt; engine codes ALH/AGR (TDi 90) and AHF (TDi 110). Cooling: pressurised forced-circulation; thermostat opens at 85°C, full open at 105°C, stroke min 7 mm. Without A/C: single bi-speed fan via stepped thermocontact (100/60 W, 345 mm); with A/C: two bi-speed fans via thermal management ECU (left 250/60 W 345 mm, right 220/60 W 290 mm). Thermocontact: 1st speed on 92–97°C off 84–91°C; 2nd speed on 99–105°C off 91–98°C. Post-ventilation relay managed by ECU (AHF engines and all with A/C). Identification: VIN 17 characters stamped on bulkhead; type/engine number on front of block at gearbox joint face.
