DIY Shutter Speed Tester - 10 Euro Build
Construction guide for a homemade shutter speed tester using two BPW 40 phototransistors, a 5 kOhm resistor, stereo jack input, 1.5V battery, and optional components. Includes circuit diagram, assembly instructions, phototransistor placement on 24x36 frame diagonal, usage with audio recording software, and analysis method via waveform editor with results table and performance graph for a Pentacon FB camera.
Documentation must be downloaded on a computer (PC, Mac, or Linux).
Do not use a smartphone or tablet to download documentation; they generally lack sufficient memory capacity to handle large files, and few users know how to locate the download folder on these devices.
