The fuel system incorporates a 60-litre plastic tank, a Purflux filter with 150 W electric heater (30,000 km service interval), and either a Fram V01H204 air filter for the naturally aspirated engine or Mann Filter C 1399/2 for the turbo. The atmospheric injection pump is a Bosch VE 4/8 F 2300 R598 with piston lift calibrated to 0.82 ± 0.04 mm at top dead centre on cylinder 1, idle speed set to 825 ± 25 rpm, and maximum no-load speed of 5,200 ± 100 rpm. The turbocharged version employs an electronic control unit mounted on the bulkhead with integrated atmospheric pressure sensing, managing injection timing, glow plug sequencing, and EGR valve operation via a 25-pin connector.
