Covers all petrol engines—620i (115 hp), 620Si (131 hp), 623Si (158 hp), 620Ti (200 hp turbocharged)—plus the turbodiesel 620Di/SDi/SDi Lux variant (105 hp). This workshop manual provides complete specifications for four-cylinder inline transverse petrol units with aluminium block and head; SOHC configuration on the 2-litre engine, DOHC on 2.3-litre. Cast iron crankshaft runs on five bearings. Lubrication handled by trochoidal pump driven off the crankshaft; oil pressure measured at 80°C shows 0.7 bar at idle, 3.5 bar minimum at 3,000 rpm. Oil capacity 3.8 litres (2000cc) or 4.3 litres (2300cc), spec SAE 10W40–15W50 API SF/SG/SH; service interval every 10,000 km or annually. Timing belt replacement scheduled at 100,000 km or six years with automatic tensioner fitted. Cooling system runs a thermostatic fan; thermostat opens at 76–80°C, fully open at 90°C with 8 mm stroke; capacity 2.7 litres (2000cc) or 3.3 litres (2300cc) using 50% antifreeze coolant. Scheduled coolant replacement at 80,000 km, then every 40,000 km thereafter. Fuel management centres on Honda PGM-FI injection architecture (shared with Honda Accord); ECU located under passenger-side carpet. System includes lambda sensor, MAP pressure sensor, idle control solenoid valve (EACV); injector resistance 1.5–2.5 ohms with ballast resistor pack 5–7 ohms; fuel pressure regulator set 2.5–3 bar. Air filter change interval every 40,000 km or two years. Documentation includes full wiring diagrams, component layout schematics, PGM-FI injection system schematic, and ABS system information.
